The history of The Wind International dates back to the early 1980’s, when the entrepreneur, Dr. Mahmoud Reza Azizi, then a young architect, embarked upon resort development in his homeland. To that end he formed Farayand Architectural Engineering Consultancy in Tehran.

In the early 1990’s, Farayand expanded developmental activities to the UAE.

 

Farayand has continuously led the formation of affiliate entities in the region by a series of joint ventures with Farayand’s position in the heart of the Middle East’s fast growing economy has allowed it to be a part of an international business hub and to further its case. In addition, the quick pace of real estate development and the recognition of freehold property sparked interest to create an entity encompassing design, investment and development wings under the umbrella of a competent holding company to allow smoother management, from start to finish, in the property development business.

 
 

In 2002, Quest International Design & Property Development was set up in Dubai as representative of The Wind International Design & Property Development of The British Virgin Islands, focusing upon research feasibility, design, finance, development and sale of property in the UAE and the Middle East.

The Wind FZ-LLC, Project Management Consultancy, was subsequently formed to manage the projects; Wind Properties, a Dubai-based real estate, was also established to render real estate services and property sales.

Then, Wind General Trading FZCO followed in to answer with the trade needs of the group. In line with its expansionalist ideology, Wind Hotel & Resort was established.

Ultimately, Wind Urban Contracting & Design LLC was established in Dubai to complete the total property development package that the Chairman had always aimed for.

Wind International also has a strong commitment to education, and technology and with that in mind Wind Virtual University, Wind Virtual World and the International Academy of Art, Science and Technology were formed.

Today, after over twenty years in the industry, The Wind International is a holding entity that represents the excellence, openness and competitiveness always associated to projects that it has undertaken.
